“Into a new century”: Viessmann kicks off its anniversary at ISH 2017

The Viessmann Group recently entered its one hundredth anniversary year at the ISH Energy Trade Fair (Frankfurt, Germany, March 2017) with the launch of a new theme: “Into a new century.”

The theme is a reflection of the current climate changes as well as the demand customers are placing on heating manufacturers. As a leading international manufacturer of heating, industrial and refrigeration systems, Viessmann illustrated its path towards a digital and carbon-neutral century and shared its vision of how the company will support partners and customers with a focus on digitalization.

“Digitalization is the single greatest structural change our industry has been faced with.”said Maximillian Viessmann, the fourth generation to be responsible for the company and the Group’s Digital Officer.

Viessmann’s main focus is on digital services and pushing forward its digital transformation on three levels:

  • Creating a forward-looking and entrepreneurial culture and digitalizing all key internal processes.
  • Developing digital products and business models that are close to the core business. An example of this is “Digital Energy Solutions,” a joint venture with BMW that offers digital solutions for increasingly flexible energy markets.
  • Diversification by investing in new business segments, particularly in the area known as Deep Tech – including the venture capital fund Vito Ventures (vito.vc) and the company Builder WATTx (wattx.io).

At the next edition of ISH, Viessmann will present a wide range of digital products that will make life easier for end users, simplify processes and ensure greater convenience and safety.
