Expansion of wood energy markets allows new biomass heating grant application

With the announcement from the USDA of $8 million to expand the use of wood products and wood energy markets, new grants for biomass heating can now be awarded to businesses, non-profits, education facilities, local governments, and more to promote economic and environmental health of their communities.

Projects utilizing Viessmann products, including Vitoflex 300 biomass boiler systems, are now eligible to apply for these grants through January 23, 2019. Other products, including condensing gas boilers used in conjunction with biomass for backup, peak load or summer loads may be included in such projects.

Viessmann can offer complete design support prior to grant applications, and offers full installation assistance. Our team can analyze and optimize your biomass needs, and produce custom CAD drawing of your system prior to order. For assistance in developing a biomass boiler system, please feel free to contact Bede Wellford, Renewable and Sustainable Business Development Manager at (207) 956-2799, or wefb@viessmann.com.
