Position Description    

Position: Director of Sales

Reporting to: U.S. President & CEO

Employment Classification: Full Time, Salaried (Exempt)

Goal of This Position: Build Viessmann market share through profitable sales.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive all sales in the Central and Western region to meet annual revenue and gross profit objectives
  • Develop, implement and execute the applicable elements of the strategic plan in the Region and holding all contributing parties accountable to their promises and commitments
  • Conceptualize, implement and drive sales campaigns and incentive programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regional wholesalers, contractors, end users, mechanical engineering firms and market influencers
  • Manage the development of a strong pipeline of commercial project opportunities; work with the sales network realizing those opportunities and holding all involved parties accountable to their promises and commitments.
  • Manage regional marketing activities in coordination with the Marketing Team
  • Contribute to the continued growth of Viessmann US by suggesting new products and services, improvements to current products and services and streamlining internal processes
  • Collect, analyze and leverage market intelligence (competitor activities, incentives, regulations, etc.) to identify opportunities and risks
  • Understand and communicate the buying criteria of all stakeholders in the sales process including new products vs. replacements, price elasticity, payback requirements, economics, financing, equipment features and others
  • Extraordinary and additional tasks as may be required during the course of the business year

Prerequisites for Position:

Education and Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales of HVAC equipment; candidates with hydronic experience preferred
  • A minimum of five years in a sales management role
  • A college degree in business or engineering or a minimum of fifteen years of applicable industry experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong user skills in Google Suite software tools, iOS applications
  • Strong organizational skills, creative self-starter
